We’re thrilled to share that our Treasurer, Alan Smith has been awarded the Amesbury Mayor’s Award for his contribution to the creation of the Men’s Shed and help in the wider community.
Presented by Mayor Cllr. Dr. Monica Devendran during the town’s full council meeting on the 7th of April at the Bowman Centre in Amesbury, Alan thanked the volunteers who give their time to the Men’s Shed, as well as all the councillors who have helped along the way. Monica extended her warm congratulations to Alan, noting that the recognition is truly well deserved in light of his outstanding contribution to the community through Amesbury Men’s Shed.
Alan said “I was honored to receive the award in recognition of the great work the committee of Amesbury Men’s Shed has achieved in just 12 months. I see this as a collective award and said so to all Councillors.”
